Getting your sport pilot license
Flight time requirements:
  • The FAA Sport Pilot License requires a minimum of 20 hours of flight training.
  • Training is provided by experienced instructors
  • Training flights can be scheduled throughout the day – 7 days a week.
You will learn:

  • Slow flight and easy stall recovery
  • Navigation

  • Making Safe decisions
Ground School Requirements:

All students receive a complete DVD ground school course that covers
  • Basic aerodynamics
  • Fundamental flying techniques
  • Airspace rules
  • Safety considerations
  • Navigation
  • Weather
Study on your own time
Instructors will monitor your progress and assist whenever you have a question.
Preparation for the written test is included.

Tests Required:
  • One written FAA multiple choice test. Full test prep is provided by the DVD ground school and your instructor. Actual FAA practice tests are used to help guarantee success.
  • One practical flight test. When you have completed your training you will fly with a designated FAA examiner who will upon successful completion issue you your license. Your instructor will help you prepare fully for an easy flight test.
Medical Exams required: None. If you have a current state issued Driver’s license then you have met all medical requirements* * Special requirements may apply for pilots who have already taken FAA medical examinations. Ask your instructor.
